Horror Author Fred Wiehe

Visits Silicon2006

Horror author Fred Wiehe just returned from SiliCon 2006, non-profit convention run by fans of science fiction, fantasy, and horror for fans of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Proceeds benefited the Diabtetes Society of Santa Clara Valley. Fred participated in Meet the Guests, he donated books to the charity auction, and he participated on 3 panels: A Shiver or a Splatter, Genre or Pigeonhole, and Horror Literature and Society.

A Shiver or a Splatter? As you can see Freddy (Kruger) Wiehe likes both. With me are Nicholas Grabowsky (far right), author of Halloween IV and Kevin Murphy (middle), author of Drum Into Silence.

Genre or Pigeonhole? Never pigeonhole ... and I tell them. My novels cross so many genres that I never could be pigeonholed. With me are Kevin Murphy (middle), author of Penny Dreadful (A Mage novel set in White Wolf's World of Darkness) and Douglas Berry (far left), author of At Close Quarters (with James Lindsay) and GURPS Traveller: Ground Forces.

That's me and my new friend, Frankie. We're selling books and signing them (at least I am) at SiliCon 2006.
