Horror Author Fred Wiehe

Visits WHC2006 in San Francisco

Horror Author Fred Wiehe just returned from the World Horror Convention 2006 in San Francisco, where he hob-knobbed with fellow horror authors, publishers, celebrities, and horror fans from around the world. On Saturday night, Fred took part in a panel discussion; "Where are the new masters of horror." Joining him were Paula Guran, Chesya Burke, John Everson, and Michael Laimo. Here is a pictorial of the four-day celebration of horror with such people as the great Peter Straub, Koji Suzuki author of THE RING, Nicholas Grabowsky author of HALLOWEEN IV, Angelina Robinson author of LOST HUNGER, and Bill Moseley star of House of 1000 Corpses.

Check out Angel's new novel LOST HUNGER

Nick Grabowsky is the author of Halloween IV and The Everborn. Peter Straub is ... well ... Peter Straub ... no introduction needed.

Paula Guran, Chesya Burke, and Michael Laimo bailed at the last minute. But John Everson and Fred kept the discussion and audience participation going. It was a fun time.

You've seen him in House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects. But this is how Bill Moseley really looks. Still pretty sinister, huh? But a good guy.

Koji Suzuki is the author of THE RING and all-around nice guy.

Weston Ochse. His first novel Scarecrow Gods won the Bram Stoker Award for best first novel. Way to go Weston! You might know him as the author of the Scary Rednecks and Appalachian Galapagos, co-written with David Whitman.

Greg and Mike  are young, new producers. Their production company is Groti Productions. Their first movie is a short, live action titled LAST CALL.

Jason from the HALLOWEEN movies is back and strangling Tony, the hero from LAST CALL (a Groti Production).

Don't forget Angel's LOST HUNGER.

P.D. Cacek is a Bram Stoker award winner. She is the author of NIGHT PRAYERS, a humorous tale of vampire lust.

 Don't forget The Everborn.

And a good time was had by all!
